Image
Story by SAMSON ANYWA in Mumias  SUGAR suspected to be destined for repackaging at Mumias Sugar Company arrived at a house in Harambee last night. According to a security officer who pleaded for anonymity, a company associated with Uganda's Sarai delivered 10,000 metric tons for the occasion. Our source said the sugar is to be moved to Mumias Sugar Industrial Godowns next week where it is expected to be packed into Mumias-lebeled bags. This action is part of a larger one by individuals led by Outgoing Kakamega Governor Whycliffe Oparanya to fool locals that Mumias Sugar had started production. "This is a political move that is meant to cheat people actually there is no crushing but smoke generated by boiling water in the chambers" said an insider. We have established that the plan is to repackage several kilograms of the product, display it to the media and tell people to vote in a certain way. It was not immediatly established when the sugar will ...

By Joel Eshikumo Fernandes Barasa who came on the political scene, marketed as monied and a shrewd manager determined to change the destiny of Kakamega for good, appears to be struggling today.  Despite bagging the coveted Azimio ticket thru direct picking, Barasa is playing catch up to other candidates in the race to replace Outgoing Governor Oparanya.  Insiders have pointed at several things that would be pulling the Azimio candidate back as his competitors including DAP-k 's Ayub Savula and Kenya Kwanza's duo of Honorable Cleophas Malala and Bonny Khalwale who are running riot across the county.  DYNAMIC DUO: The union Between Honorables Malala and Khalwale is proving real danger to Barasa towards August. In what appears to be a well coordinated plot to fail his candidature, self righteous-appointed handlers are very strategic on how the candidate handles his matters.  Observers have said Fernandes Barasa is spending most of his time in board room meetings wi...

THE OTHER SIDE OF KHWISERO MP.

Image
Samson juma in Kakamega.  Christopher Aseka wa Angaya the dream killer. The MP for Khwisero Aseka popularly known as Miradi is a man on a mission to kill the dreams of Khwisero Children. An arrogant , little man with a bloated ego, Aseka strikes one as one as a someone who is hiding something or many things.  From a junior procurement officer at the Nakuru County Hospital where he made millions under unclear circumstances, Aseka came on the scene with abang dishing out 200 to gullible, poverty stricken people of Khwisero while abusing men that "omusatsa neshibeti" a man is a wallet, a dimeaning and abusive slogan to male population  that he continues using  to date.  Aman consummated in exuberance verbosity, Aseka used to officially earn 54,000/ with a house allowance of 4000, Perhaps this explains why he's so arrogant carrying himself with known thugs that terrorize anyone thought to question  obvious  mulpractices happening in Khwisero CD...

KRA YANYONGA SAVULA KUMDAI MILIONI 400.

Image
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) seeks to obtain Ksh473 million from a publication belonging to Lugari MP Ayub Savula over claims of unpaid taxes accruing from a period of four years. Reports show that Savula's publication, Sunday Publishers, had secured contracts between 2013 and 2017- the stipulated period in question. Savula had gone to court to prevent the tax authority from seizing his assets, as ordered by the Tax Appeal Tribunal. He confirmed to the court that he had paid Ksh3 million and was willing to pay another Ksh3 million to the tax authority. The legislator, in his defense, had argued that due to the publication facing numerous legal suits, it was forced to shut down. He argued that due to this, the company didn't have any liquidity in order to pay the security in one installment. However, after reviewing the case, High Court Justice David Majanja ruled that Savula had to get a bank guarantee of Ksh10 million within the next 45 days in order to prevent KR...

VIDEO: WHY DEVKI-RAO PAST IS SUSPECT

There are three things that cannot be hidden for long: The sun, the moon, and the truth. Last week, the truth behind the close tie between Mumias Sugar Company Receiver Manager PRV Rao and Devki Group was made public.  Apparently, Rao and Devki of Narendra Raval started transacting businesses long time ago. This became evident during the grilling of Rao about leasing of Mumias by the Standing Committee of Agriculture chaired by Embu senator Njeri Ndwiga “There was a time I was the Receiver Manager of Kwale International Sugar Company I sold machines as scrapes to Devki steel,” Rao told the senators. Rao and Devki are believed to have struck a deal that would have seen the latter take over Mumias Sugar Company. However, the deal between Rao and Devki hit a snag due to public outcry that led Devki to withdraw his bid to avoid being subjected to public scrutiny on how he had won the bid. Farmers, political leaders and players in the sugar industry were shocked how Devki may hav...
