COUNTY MINISTERS COMPLAIN OVER MATUNGU FUND DEMANDS.

KAKAMEGA County Ministers have expressed concern over what they termed as incessant demands for funds from the Governor to fund Matungu ODM candidate David Were. 

In a confidential letter addressed to the Kakamega Senator Honourable Cleophas Malala, Ministers claim they are forced to give money towards the by Election without supporting documents. 

The letter, copied to the Auditor General hints about the Ministry of roads and public works and Agriculture as those the Governor is raiding. 

"It will therefore be difficult to account for the monies if this trend is not checked and brought to an end" reads the letter. 

The undated letter seemingly from insider sources and bearing the voice of some unknown minister claims Governor Oparanya since beginning escapades in Matungu has had "a penchant for ordering his Ministers to provide funds from their ministries towards the boostion of ODM's David Were" says the letter. 

Our source has indicated that since the beginning of the Matungu campaigns, two Ministers Public Works and roads's Geoffrey Omulai and Agriculture CEC Geremia Namuye have been named as being the "collection" 

The two, in their official county cars have accompanied Oparanya all over the campaign entourage, funerals, weddings and other political functions. 

Sources claimed they have also been tasked to ensure compliance from fellow CECs in as far as settling hotel bills is concerned. 

The Kakamega Bully learnt that this letter confidential as it is, has divided the Kakamega CECs right in the middle with most saying it should also be copied to the EACC Nairobi office since Kisumu and Eldoret Officers were incompetent. 

The few opposed to the move say they would be shoot g themselves in the foot if the got the letter to sleiths. Insiders have confirmed that Governor Oparanya has been drawing millions from the county coffers to fund the election that has seen the ODM candidate resort to hotel meetings.
