MATUNGU ODM'S POSHO SLAMS OPARANYA. As goons demonstrate against ODM.

THREE days after ODM handed a direct nomination to former Matungu MP David Aoko Were, Paul Posho who was eying the ticket is crying.

Today, pockets of hired youths demonstrated against Kakamega Governor Whycliffe Oparanya and ODM leader Raila Odinga for allegedly abandoning him.

The youths, openly smoking  opium and drinking alcohol matched in Namamali marketplace, Poshos's birth place to protest as they called Governor Oparanya who is ODM's Deputy party Leader names.

Mr. Posho himself announced that he was reaching out to Deputy President's Tanga Tanga outfit for support but unfortunately the DP appears not keen on meddling in the ANC tuff.

Mr. Posho, who has lost elections severally in Matungu termed Oparanya as ungrateful and untrustworthy after he allagedly influenced his (Poshos's) rejection.

"It's Oparanya who influenced that I don't get the party ticket for this by elecion, the governor is ungrateful just because he gave me a job doesn't mean he will control me like a puppet" He said.

Posho, employed by the county government of Kakamega as the Governor's Economic Advisor said he will consider his links with Governor Oparanya adding that he did not need to work with the governor anymore.

"It's very sad that money issues came in and Oparanya pocketed money from Hon Were to hand him the party ticket that means I will still contest as an independent candidate, I must be on the ballot.

ANC has thrown its weight behind business magnet Peter Oscar Nabulindo who is currently the favorite to clutch the seat as all opinion pills show that he was winning.

The entry of Honourable David Were has now dwarfed other candidates including immediate former CDF Chairman Athman Wangara who has widely been accused of being imoral all the way from his Mumuas Sugar employment.

Wangara, according to most residents is an outsider from. BUTULA and his chances are narrowing by the day as he lacks the financial muscle to even fuel one vehicle. He does not enjoy backing from any MCA and he is a lone ranger mostly shouting on roads and a dressing uninterested people on roadsides and market places.

The seat fell vacant following the untimely death of Honourable Omurunga after a short illness.

The by elections is as at today going to be a two horse race between ODM's  Honourable Were and ANC's Hon Peter Nabulindo.
ENDS.
