Others expecred to avoid the funeral include ODM March by Election candidate and firmer MP David Were who is afraid of being booed and heckled.

A section of youths have sent a strong message to ODM Secretary General Edwin SIFUNA who is Married to the Late MP's daughter to "behave".

"As a son in law, we expect him to keep off cheap politics and stick to euologizing his father in law and the people of Matungu anything outside that will be RESISTED" Said Thomas Waswa from Lubanga.

Last week while at the funeral of the MP's grand father, Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala called on Governor Oparanya to respect the will of the people of Matungu by withdrawing the election petition.
