FORMER CS HIRES GOONS FOR POSHO FUNERAL

Story by Peter Osundwa.  HUNDREDS of youths suspected to have been hired by former CS Rashid Achesa were last night transported to Matungu for unknown reason. The youths is lorries we established were from Shibale slums and were paid Ksh 200 each. Lorries were seen dropping off visibly drunk youths at Ejinja market as early as last evening and this morning as they openly smoked Marijuana. The target was invading the funeral of the mother to Politician PAUL Posho's home where the DP is expected to attend. According to one youth, the score is to heckle and boo political leaders who do not subscribe to Mr. Achesa's ideology. About 6 years ago in the same compound, Kakamega Governor Whycliffe Oparanya unleashed goons against Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala at the burial of Paul Posho's father. Most of the youths who harassed the Senator and beat him up are long dead. Police have been urged to be on the alert to avert any cases of violence at the occasion. Unconfirm...

ALEX Lanya the UDA Candidate in forth coming Matungu by elections has come out to claim those around the DP are using him to earn millions of shillings. KAPEDO: Tiaty MP William Kamket arrested in NAIROBI.

Story By. James Shisia Tiaty Member of Parliament (MP) William Kamket has been arrested in Nairobi in connection with the banditry attacks in Kapedo. He is currently being detained at the Kileleshwa Police Station and will be transferred to Nakuru according to police officers. His arrest comes a day after he joined other leaders from Baringo and West Pokot who appealed to President Uhuru to deescalate the ongoing security operation in Kapedo. The leaders asked the government to change tact, saying the opearion was inhumane. They claimed the rounds of skirmishes were had been caused by tussles over boundaries and extreme poverty. On Tuesday night, 6 people were killled and scores injured in a shootout between the police and suspected bandits. Rift Valley Regional Commander Goerge Natembeya said an unconfirmed number of bandits had attacked the Arabal area, making away with 50 heads of cattle. MATUNGU: ANC'S PATH CLEARED AS OTHERS FALL OFF.

By Our Staff Writer.  THE Candidature of Peter Oscar Nabulindo the ANC Parliamentary flag bearer and a front runner in the March By election was boosted  after 7 candidates were promised  Ksh 1M each to step out in favour of one.  The race has now narrowed to a three-horse race after several Independent candidates who had earlier declared their interest withdrew their candidature on Thursday, January 7, 2020 to support of a new entrant Alex Lanya Wamukoya.  Candidates who met former Senators Johnstone Muthama (Machakos) and Bonny Khalwale (Kakamega), who are largely allied to Deputy President William Ruto, were pressured to step down to avoid splitting the votes and instead rally behind one candidate who will compete competitively as they mostly agreed.  Those who attended the meeting and have since pulled out of the race include the late Murunga's wife  Christabel Amunga,  Athman Wangara, Odanga Pessa, Omoro Mohamed and Bena...

THREE days after ODM handed a direct nomination to former Matungu MP David Aoko Were, Paul Posho who was eying the ticket is crying. Today, pockets of hired youths demonstrated against Kakamega Governor Whycliffe Oparanya and ODM leader Raila Odinga for allegedly abandoning him. The youths, openly smoking  opium and drinking alcohol matched in Namamali marketplace, Poshos's birth place to protest as they called Governor Oparanya who is ODM's Deputy party Leader names. Mr. Posho himself announced that he was reaching out to Deputy President's Tanga Tanga outfit for support but unfortunately the DP appears not keen on meddling in the ANC tuff.
