COUNTY MINISTERS COMPLAIN OVER MATUNGU FUND DEMANDS.

KAKAMEGA County Ministers have expressed concern over what they termed as incessant demands for funds from the Governor to fund Matungu ODM candidate David Were.  In a confidential letter addressed to the Kakamega Senator Honourable Cleophas Malala, Ministers claim they are forced to give money towards the by Election without supporting documents.  The letter, copied to the Auditor General hints about the Ministry of roads and public works and Agriculture as those the Governor is raiding.  "It will therefore be difficult to account for the monies if this trend is not checked and brought to an end" reads the letter.  The undated letter seemingly from insider sources and bearing the voice of some unknown minister claims Governor Oparanya since beginning escapades in Matungu has had "a penchant for ordering his Ministers to provide funds from their ministries towards the boostion of ODM's David Were" says the letter.  Our source ...

For several weeks now, the Aspirant has not been able to hold any meetings in the constituency because of hostility from residents who are against David Were's candidature. On the one hand, a section of elected MCAS and those aspiring are saying Raila should not come in Matungu as his visit will scuttle the small gains his candidate had made. FORMER CS ACHESA KICKS AND PUNCHES MAN IN HOTEL FIGHT.

Story by Ismael Ndula.  FORMER Sports CS Rashid Achesa yesterday punched a man at a Mumias hotel to the amazement of patrons.  A Facebook post by Desterio okumu ontheincident minutes after it took place. Trouble begun when Achesa walked into the hotel Number Seventy and noticed his former supporter now turned critic Desterio Okumu at a corner. The former Minister immediately started shouting insults to an amazed Okumu as he walked towards him pointing fingers. Immediately Okumu stood up, Achesa rained punches on a defenseless Okumu as his body guards watched without intervening.  According to CCTV footage at the hotel Mr. Okumu attempted to take off but he was overpowered and fell down on his face.  Mumias MP Benjamin Washiali who was present at the hotel immediately attempted to intervene and is see holding Mr. Achesa's left hand to restrain him from further hitting Okumu.
